"Jeepers creepers where did you get those peepers!"

Ash and Rook's lively "lucky charms" are now 11 days old. The biggest change is the appearance of their "peepers". Puppies are born with no sight. Around days 7 to 10 their eyes begin to open. All puppies are born with blue eyes and darken to  brown as they mature.

As with human development, the "eyes" of  the girls  were the first to open on day 9.  It was beautiful  to wake up and  see "Olive", "Boudicca" and "Penny" staring back at me. My surprise today, was to capture a pic of  big boy "Frankie" who decided to flash me a "peeper" when I took the last pic of the day.  Master Paddy's "windows to the soul" are just about to "peep", so stay tuned for the next update as the little crew continues their journey forward in the big-wide world.

I am Ready For My "Close Up Mr DeVille"

It has been a busy first week in the universe for Ash X Rook's "Pot of Gold Litter" whelped on St Patrick's Day.  It is beautiful to watch momma Ash's natural maternal instincts as she nurtures her five lively"Lucky Charms" .

Starting on Day Three, the pups have been introduced to the Bio/Senor program which are a series of early neurological stimulation exercises done from days three to sixteen of the puppies life. I have used this program with all my litters and one that I highly recommend to fellow breeders. To learn about the details of this program, click HERE - the link will lead you to my kennel site.

This past week, my friend Catherine helped me with their four-day old"close ups". She patiently held each pup since they are like Mexican jumping beans in my hands.

Some rambling pics of the "Lucky Charms" growing in leaps and bounds. Stay tuned for more updates with the "Pot of Gold" Litter.

Ash X Rook's "Lucky Charms"

The "Pot of Gold" Litter whelped on St Patrick's Day is a lively bunch of "Lucky Charms".  Momma Ash is an extremely attentive mom. She is busy ensuring all five are content, warm and fully satisfied with an abundance of love and the handy "all-you-can-drink" milk bar open 24 hours:-)

Ash's fan club has asked for more pics! Today is only day four in the lives of the new baby crew but they were happy to be in the limelight for a few photos. I took the following pics on Monday - Day Two of the Lucky Charms" in the universe. I added a bit of creativity to the photos since I am busy in my studio working on some commission pieces and feeling "artsy":-)

Stay tuned for more pics of the "Pot of Gold" Crew at the end of their first week.
